Kicking Kielbasa

If you’ve read any of my posts, you know I am all about quick, easy dinner recipes! This Kicking Kielbasa recipe fits the bill. I love…I mean really love…foil pack cooking! It is such an easy way to cook an entire meal with protein and vegetables all in one.

Another perk to foil pack cooking is the easy cleanup! I’m all about efficiencies and it’s no different with meal planning.

Kicking Kielbasa

My husband handled this recipe and it was in the oven when I got home! I love how it can be customized based on our current vegetable harvest or with vegetables that I know my kids will eat. This time we used homegrown squash and zucchini! You can also make this recipe with just vegetables for the vegetarians in your family (I lean toward foods that are meatless so my husband made me a foil packet with just veggies)!

Kicking Kielbasa

Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes


  • 1 lb Kielbasa sliced
  • 2 cups squash chopped
  • 2 cups zucchini chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tbsp steak seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 375ยบ

  2. Lay four pieces of 12" by 12" foil on a cookie sheet.

  3. Toss mushrooms, sausage, squash, olive oil, and seasoning in a bowl and stir until coated.

  4. Divide the ingredients among the four pieces of foil and seal.

  5. Bake on cookie sheet for 35 minutes until vegetables are tender.
